Third stop…Cognac

When we first visited Aulagnes we were bowled over by its beauty and elegance.  It is a French country house – the primary house of the local region – and has been tastefully restored by a family whose love and care of the place is everywhere to see. From the moment we arrived, we felt it was a very special place and a space where great things could happen.  When we pulled out our great big map, we also found this location was bang slap in the middle of the three places we’d visited on our first reconnaissance mission: La Rochelle, Carennac and Bordeaux.  Once again, it felt like fate and once again we went for it….

Today, we are the proud caretakers of Aulagnes.  We have had several B&B guests already and have learnt a huge amount about maintaining a property such as this and also about hosting visitors.
